Nus Aerobics Club is recruiting for our next organising committee 2014!

Whether you are freshie or senior, we welcome you to apply, as we are certain we can find you a position you’re most suited for.
Application closes on 18th August 23:59
You will be contacted for interviews within a few days after your application.
Results will be released on 20th August.
What’s in it for you?
Be involved in the planning and execution of a wide variety of 9 different types of courses.
If you’re an Aerobics enthusiast, you will be glad to know that you can join all types of classes for free, so as to supervise and interact with participants.
Be supported by a large committee.
Maintain the motivation to keep an active lifestyle!
General responsibilities of all club members:
Commit to 1 hour every week to be the supervising officer for a particular class. Timing is flexible and can be changed to suit your timetable.
Ensure that the needs of all participants in your supervising class are well attended to.
Be the ambassador of the club in communicating and relaying information during your supervising class.
Apart from supervising one class for an hour every week, busy periods will only be during the start of the semester, and the start of vacation.
Workload is comfortably acceptable, and would not affect academic curriculum to any significant extent.
1) Position: chairperson
Description:
The overall in-charge for the whole NUS Aerobics Club, working alongside with the Vice-chairperson as main leaders of the club. One who oversees the whole process of the club, including execution and planning process of classes and events. The main person who liaise with the Sports Club regarding with any issues of the club, the one in which the committee looks upon to and take lead from. S/he would be mainly the point of contact for instructors and sports club and other school staff as well as students. S/he would be setting the main goal and objective for the Club, as well as the vision in which the Club is aiming to achieve; Committed and Responsible Committee, in which every single individual would take charge of duty and responsibility. S/he would be the main point of contact for the committee members especially,  during the planning process or in the event ofany difficulties faced. The chairperson will also seek to encourage cross functional collaboration, ensure effective delegation of workload to different functions and obtain feedback from committee to follow up.
Ideal candidate : Relevant Experience in a leadership /committee position.
Takes initiative, decisive, supportive, understanding, sociable.
2) logistics  & welfare cell
Positions available: director and executives
Description:
Facilitate smooth execution of classes by ensuring Aerobics equipment are available and in satisfactory condition at various venues.
Facilitate smooth flow of events by ensuring necessary admin materials and sponsorship items are available for participants.
Ensure that the welfare of committee members are taken care of too
Ideal candidate: Equipment is manageable by both ladies and gentlemen. Responsible, hardworking.
3) Marketing cell
Positions available : director and executives
Description:
Analyse the cost of classes and the club’s operational expenses to make informed decisions on pricing of 9 different type of Aerobics courses. Initiate marketing campaigns such as price promotions.
Source for new sponsorships and liaise with existing partners to reduce costs of courses borne by students, goodies for participants and ensure sponsors are satisfied.
Oversee the professionalism and branding of the club in terms of communication with sponsors, appropriateness of publicity materials and smoothness of events and classes.
Ideal candidate : Proficient in English. Outgoing, interacts well with people, takes initiative.
4) publicity & creative cell
Positions available: director and executives
Description:
Lead the creation and design of electronic and print materials to appeal to the student population.
Maximise the awareness of nus Aerobics Club and its activities through various medium such as social media and blog updates.
Initiate publicity campaigns such as viral facebook posts to maximise audience reach through interesting content and incentives for sharing.
Ideal candidate : Knowledge in editing tools such as photoshop or equivalent software. Active user on social media and the internet.
5) programmes cell
Positions available: director and executives
Description: Critical role in the club in the planning of timeline, types of classes to include, which instructors to work with, dates of classes.
Negotiate on instructor fees, keeping the interests of students pockets in mind. Ensure participants satisfaction through obtaining feedback.
Members in the cell have the opportunity to volunteer to rise up to be project director for a particular event, which can be rotated around.
Events include semester classes, vacation classes, annual Hyperjive awareness event and holiday workshops.
Ideal candidate : Prior experience in planning of events will be favourable. Reliable, responsible, organised.

Hi guys! In collaboration with KpopX Fitness, NUS Aerobics will be holding a KPOPX FITNESS MASS PARTY on this coming 22nd August 2014!!! So keep the date on your calendar free because you wouldn’t want to miss out on the fun!!!!

Hi Aerobians!

Please take note the following:

– kickboxing and zumba will resume back in MPSH2;

– yoga and yogilatez will resume back in aerobics studio -utown.

Dear Aerobians:

Please do note the following:

1. All classes will resume today, with original timing and location. 

2. Zumba 5th March and Kick boxing 5th March will be replaced! Stay tune for further updates!

3. We will be distributing the Aerobics shirts within these two weeks! Please do remember to come to class to collect!
